Meet Karly Quaack

Karly Quaack is a California native who earned a Ph.D. in communication studies from the University of Texas at Austin and a B.A. and M.A. from California State University, Long Beach. Specializing in interpersonal and health communication, Karly’s research focuses on how individuals managing complex, stigmatized, and poorly understood health conditions navigate difficult conversations with close others and clinicians.

She is passionate about research and is looking forward to working more with the CHC team as a postdoctoral fellow. In her free time, Karly enjoys lake days, going to live shows, and of course spending time with her dog, Rue.
